A Sundae on Sunday


Glass: Coupe
Method: Blend frozen

Ingredients:

1 oz Light Rum
1 oz Amaretto
1 oz Coconut Cream
Splash Cherry Syrup 1
Splash (~½ oz) Heavy Cream, Half and Half, Milk OR use 2 scoops of Vanilla Ice Cream in place of the ice and cream. 

Garnish: None

Combine all the ingredients in a blender with ice. Blend until smooth.

  1. A “Splash” from a juice container in the Jockey Box typically comes to about ½ oz. For syrups I play this one based on what helps the drink taste best, as in least cloyingly sweet, or doesn’t throw the flavor of the drink off balance. So I’d go UP TO ½ oz. Mind you, frozen drinks and foods consumed frozen are proven to numb the taste-buds, thus increasing the Cherry Syrup to a full ½ oz “splash” should be enough to compensate for the “frozen palate syndrome”.[]
