Footnotes 👇
- Bloody Mary Mix[Usually bars use a commercial mix nowadays, or make quarts (or gallons if they’re busy enough) – Click here for my Bloody Drink Mix by the Quart Recipes] [↩]
- Salt and Pepper are always best when freshly ground. Small grinders are available cheaply everywhere. Himalayan Pink Sea Salt is one of my favorites. I suspect celery seeds can also be added to the grinder (either a separate salt grinder, or just in a separate grinder by themselves so customers who don’t like celery can still have fresh sea salt) for a fresh burst of celery flavor.[↩]
- Garnishes have grown obscenely ridiculous in many places (turning a Bloody Mary into an entire meal). These outrageously flamboyant “garnishes” are a gimmick / trademark / must experience / loss leader (loses the bar money but leads them in the door to try other more profitable things. Shrimp has been used to garnish Virgin and Bloody Mary’s for a long time, as have Celery Stalks, and often a Cherry Tomato where available, along with a squeezable wedge of fresh lime or lemon.[↩]
