Improved Whiskey Cocktail

Glassware: Chilled Martini Glass, or Rocks Glass over 1 lg ice cube.
Glass Prep: Swirl in absinthe to coat glass, then dump.
Method: Stir and Strain

Ingredients: 
2 oz. Apple Brandy
1/4 oz. Maraschino
1/4 oz. Simple Syrup
2 Dashes Angostura Bitters

Garnish: Lemon Twist
