The original recipe called forĀ gin andĀ lemon juice. Originally gin was used inĀ many cocktails becauseĀ it was the lightest tasting clear liquor. Today vodka has replaced gin andĀ it makes a smother tasting drink.
Hurricane Glass
- Mixing Glass, Ice
- Ā½ oz. Rum
- Ā½ oz. Brandy
- Ā½ oz. Vodka
- 1 oz. Sweet andĀ Sour
- 1 oz. Orange Juice
- Ā½ oz. Orgeat Syrup
- Dash of Sherry
- Shake inĀ mixing glass andĀ strain into the Hurricane Glass
- Mint sprig garnish
